(PR.co.nz) Air New Zealand’s “Kids at Christmas charity auction” kicks off this week, aiming to raise more than $400,000 for children’s charities.
The auction is offering some special “money can’t buy” items, in addition to hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of airfares, accommodation and travel packages.
This is the fifth year that the charity auction has run, with over $1.6 million being raised for the children’s charities over the past four years,” says Mike Tod, General Manager Marketing and Communications.
There are over 100 items in the auction for people to bid on, all items have a $1 reserve and the items up for grabs include:
* Two months unlimited Business Premier travel around the world
* The brand new Skycouch for flights to Los Angeles and London
* Business Premier flights to London and dinner at Peter Gordon’s PROVIDORES restaurant in London
* Air New Zealand Holidays packages
* Luxury golf and accommodation package at Cape Kidnappers
* Luxury accommodation package at Blanket Bay
* Adventure holiday weekend in Queenstown
* Luxury four-night holiday in Fiji
* A seat on the inaugural commercial flight in the new All Black A320 aircraft

“There will be an item in the auction to suit everyone’s taste – from afternoon tea with Prime Minister John Key, to seeing New Zealand from the cockpit of a Boeing 737,” says Mr Tod.
The charity auction started this week and runs until 15 December. It will benefit five children’s charities: Kidney Kids, StarJam, Kids restore New Zealand, The Hearing House and Kids@Heart New Zealand.
