(PR.co.nz) Automotive Employment NZ has offered to support victims of the September 22 Christchurch earthquake by offering fixed-term automotive jobs to displaced automotive industry employees in the Canterbury region. This service is entirely free. It is targeted towards those who are currently at a loss as to where to begin after the devastation – employers and employees alike.
Automotive Employment NZ would like to ask automotive employers nationwide to contribute in this scheme. The 6.3 magnitude quake has caused an immense distortion in the economic sector – to rectify this, employers and employees must work together to sustain economic activity.
Automotive Employment would like to prop up employers and employees affected by the Christchurch through the free co-ordination service. The consultants at Automotive Employment are more than happy to help Cantabrians who have lost their jobs or have lost their employees as a result of the earthquake. The New Zealand automotive industry is one that has always required human agency – Automotive Employment NZ wishes to show solidarity in this crucial time by re-establishing the automotive industry in Christchurch and elsewhere in New Zealand.
Automotive Employment NZ would like to get in contact with individuals and businesses in the automotive industry (within New Zealand) that currently have positions vacant. You will need to be prepared to honour the duration of the fixed-term agreement. If you choose to retain the employee permanently after the expiry date of the fixed-term agreement, you would be subject to Automotive Employment NZ’s standard terms and conditions.
Automotive Employment NZ plans to refer Christchurch automotive employees to Automotive Employment NZ-affiliated employers (New Zealand only) who may have shortages in staff. To take part in this programme, you must be honour the conditions of your fixed-term employment, should you accept a role; you must also be prepared to return to your original place of work upon the termination of your temporary arrangement.
