(PR.co.nz) JVC is proving to be a major player in the 3D market, picking up two major accolades at the prestigious EISA Awards this week.
The electronics company’s Everio GS-TD1 3D camcorder and the DLA-X7 home theatre projector both won their respective categories at the awards presented annually by the European Imagining and Sound Association.
EISA is an association of 50 special interest magazines from 19 European countries. The winners of the awards are chosen by the editors-in-chief of the magazines from the products their publications have covered in the last year.
JVC’s DLA-X7 home theatre projector was described by the association as delivering an “eye-popping 2D/3D experience”.
The projector is one of the first to achieve THX 3D certification, boasting a 70,000:1 native contrast and substantial 1300 ANSI Lumens brightness. And because JVC has designed the DLA-X7 for use with active shutter 3D glasses, it can be used with a wider choice of screen types.
Other key technologies that allow users to get fully immersed in the 3D realm include a custom on-screen gamma control and a 7 axis colour management system, which ensures accurate calibration.
A video processor for smooth rendering of all types of video material rounds out the features that make this projector the top of its class.
Meanwhile, the EISA praised the JVC Everio GS-TD1 camcorder for its ease of use, versatility and huge range of both automatic and manual functions.
With a JVC Everio GS-TD1 in hand, anyone can become a 3D film producer. The camcorder’s range of automatic functions allow for the simple creation of high quality 3D images, while plenty of manual functions mean the user has complete control over the end result.
A 3.5” 3D LCD touch screen offers an easy to use menu system, which means 3D images can be viewed without any need for 3D glasses
Additionally, users can choose between saving their footage in either JVC’s future proof high-quality 2x full HD format, or standard side-by-side AVCHD, meaning it can be easily edited with an existing video editing system.
A pair of high quality F1.2 zoom lenses, allowing for 3D or 2D stills or movies to be shot under poor light conditions, was also among the features praised by the association.
The DLA-X7 home theatre projector (RRP of $9999) and JVC Everio GS-TD1 camcorder (RRP of $2799) are available from electronic stores nationwide.
