(PR.co.nz) Two Trustees from the Vivere New Zealand Trust are preparing to head over to Samoa to help equip and deliver training to ambulance response staff.
This trip is in addition to the visit the Trustees did last year where they provided training in basic emergency care. This time the Trustees Byron Williams and Celeita Chippindale will provide training that will have a strong focus on health and hygiene training for the ambulance personal.
This teaching will compliment the modules of learning delivered in 2013, which was the ambulance development programme, which covered basic ambulance skills including airway management, CPR, and dealing with medical emergencies.
As part of this trip Vivere will be delivering another shipment of medical goods some of which will be used as part of the training, and other will complement further supplies that Vivere has donated in the past and has planned for further shipments.
Vivere is devoted specifically to enhancing ambulance care rather than hospital aid, and during the time that Vivere has been working with ambulance responders in Samoa there has already been a notable change in the care that the Ambulance response officers can provide.
The team leaves for Samoa on the 11th May 2014.
Vivere looks forward to your ongoing community support and we will update you with further information regarding our training when we can. Any further questions can be directed to Byron Williams, Trustee, Vivere New Zealand Trust. b.williams@vivere.org.nz, 04 9745239.
