(PR.co.nz) In the aftermath of the Canterbury earthquake, Bids4biz.co.nz is offering to help quake victims find trades people to help their rebuilding efforts.
Posting a job on bids4biz.co.nz is free for a limited time. Usually the service provider will pay a small success fee when they are awarded a job. To help with the massive reconstruction effort, bids4biz are waiving the success fee for all jobs in the Canterbury region for the rest of the year.
Earlier this week the NZ Treasury estimated the total cost of damage could be as high as $4 billion. This includes $2 billion worth of damage to private dwellings and $1 billion worth of damage to commercial property.
Bids4biz director and co-founder, Daniel Kereama hopes that this free service will help local tradesmen and quake victims to quickly and effectively get the reconstruction underway.
“Local tradesmen may be struggling to cope with the high demand of work in the region. Bids4biz can advertise the job you need done, nationally and help you find tradesmen from the rest of New Zealand. We want to help the local tradesmen cope with the workload and help victims get their rebuilding underway as quickly as possible.”
“We are encouraging service providers to offer reduced rates or even to volunteer their services to people who have been stricken by the quake. We are also willing to do what we can to help those in need” said Mr Kereama.
Joel Moore, co-founder of bids4biz commented on the need for quality service providers in the area.
“To protect against illegitimate service providers we have added additional authentication checks to our website which verify their credentials.”
“Once a service provider completes a job the client gives feedback and a rating which helps you to choose a quality tradesperson. As a builder I know the trust that clients place in us to deliver quality work in a timely fashion. With the amount of damage in the area we want to open up the market to quality builders outside of the Christchurch area to help in the rebuilding efforts.”
