JVC Adds GPS Car Navigation to Double-DIN Multimedia Solutions

(PR.co.nz) Getting lost will be a thing of the past thanks to leading electronics company JVC, which has released two new updated models to its Double-DIN Multimedia Solutions range that both incorporate GPS Car Navigation.

The KW-AVX746NAVN features a 6.1” widescreen touch panel monitor, Bluetooth with full hands free car kit and a USB connection for an iPod, while the KW-AVX846NAVN boasts a 7” widescreen touch panel monitor and a fold-down face.

Both models have a fully integrated GPS Car Navigation with the touch panel, ensuring users can always find their way, no matter where they are in New Zealand. The system comes powered with iGO software, the same software used by leading car manufacturers, and is preloaded with the latest New Zealand maps.

Users simply need to select their destination, either by searching for an address, place of interest or picking a spot on a map, and the integrated iGO software calculates the route to the chosen destination and displays a map overview along with important information such as distance and estimated travel time.

Pressing “Go” will then guide the user to their destination, giving plenty of voice guidance even in the most complex situations – right down to helping choose the best lane to be in!
The KW-AVX746NAVN and KW-AVX846NAVN have stunning 3D visualisation, which gives users a rapid understanding at complex junctions, while also displaying 3D models of famous landmarks and the surrounding landscape.

And fine-tuning what route to go in is simple. Users can select from fast, short, economic or easy to follow routes, and can also choose to avoid motorways, ferries, unpaved roads and toll roads.

Extra large buttons, simple icons, and a truly intuitive interface with streamlined workflow ensure optimized in-car use and maximum attention to the road.

The built-in Bluetooth wireless technology included in the KW-AVX746NAVN and KW-AVX846NAVN includes a wired microphone with flexible settings for clear communication, plus a Phone Book Access Profile for iPhone that lets users automatically access their phone book without transfer.

Changing from hands-free to a private conversation can be done by the push of a key, plus the Bluetooth connection can be switched easily between two phones.

Other features include a detachable face plate to guard against theft, a USB connection for iPod and iPhone that provides clear digital sound while also charging the device. In addition to iPod and iPhone, the unit also plays MP3, WMA and WAV audio files and JPEG, MPEG1/2 video files from USB flash memory or a digital audio player by USB connection.

Meanwhile, the built-in widescreen monitor offers dynamic AV entertainment, while also functioning as a user-friendly touch panel. Select from four Graphical User Interface (GUI) patterns in 12 colour variations, or use your own image as the wallpaper.

Both units also feature GUI and song information in 10 languages, as well as advanced EQ settings, which boosts the frequency ranges usually absorbed in the car and adjusts the sound to best fit the human ear.

The KW-AVX846NAVN (RRP of $1999) and KW-AVX746NAVN (RRP of $1799) are available from electronic stores nationwide.
