McRaeway Homes Cycling Sponsorship Extended

(PR.co.nz) A local Taireri cyclist’s “hard working” attitude has captured the attention and sponsorship of an award-winning housing company, who have since gone on to extend their support even further.

McRaeway Homes initially sponsored promising 17-year-old Brad Evans so he could attend the recent Junior World Cycyling Championships held in Italy in August. Brad and the New Zealand team performed exceptionally well, returning home 4th in the world for cycling in the 4km team pursuit, with Brad also achieving a 9th place in the 3km individual pursuit. Upon his return, McRaeway Homes helped celebrate Brad’s success through presenting him with a host of cycling clothing, which he has since worn on a regular basis.

As a result of Brad’s committment and achievement, McRaeway Home’s accredited network of builders have also contributed to helping support cycling in each of their local communities, seeing the value in fostering a worthwhile community initiative and a growing recreational sport of choice. In particular, one of McRaeway Home’s most prolific network builders, Dave Wootton, from Dave Wootton Builder Ltd in Dunedin, recently purchased 2 kits, which were donated to two up-and-coming junior Dunedin riders, Abby-Rose Evans and Thomas Cresswell. Identified as worthy recipients for support, local bike shop “Spin City” has also partnered with these future stars, providing technical and equipment support.

Additionally, Greg Chapman, from Quality Builders Central Ltd in Central Otago, has also bought 2 kits to help support local junior riders, with each kit containing a pair of shorts and top.

As a company who make it their business to specialise in consistent performance and delivery, it pleases McRaeway Homes that these promising young cyclists have received encouragement and support to continue in a field that they are deeply passionate about. Their drive and enthusiasm has been much admired by McRaeway Homes, as these qualities have been key ingredients to the company having established themselves as one of New Zealand’s most successful and long established housing companies since their inception over 48 years ago. In that time, over 6,500 families have gone on to call their own McRaeway “home” and their continued popularity has ensured that they are the LARGEST CONSISTENT SUPPLIER of residential building in the Dunedin region. To commit further to serving the needs of the Dunedin public, McRaeway Homes have recently opened a Sales Centre and show home in Mosgiel. The “Baxter” show home has 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, open plan kitchen and dining, as well as spacious dual living areas. This attractive home is at 2 Silver Springs Boulevard, off Wingatui Road in Mosgiel and is open from Thursday – Sunday, 11am – 4pm. Be sure to visit the McRaeway Homes website, www.mcraewayhomes.co.nz, to learn about Brad Evan’s continued cycling sponsorship and find out more about the new Mosgiel show home.
