(PR.co.nz) A Levin man missing in the Tararua Ranges since yesterday has been found safe and well.
The officer in charge of Palmerston North Police Search and Rescue, Sergeant Andy Brooke said the man had been found in a farmhouse on the eastern side of the Tararua Range.
“He’s walked right over the Range to the other side and has been found in a farmhouse there. He fit and well which is great.”
Police Search and Rescue, Land Search and Rescue and a helicopter had been searching for the man through the night and today after he failed to return from a day trip yesterday.
Sergeant Brooke thanked the volunteers who had assisted in the search.
