(PR.co.nz) The BA Kit has officially been re-launched. A Software as a Service (SaaS) product designed specifically for business analysis teams, The BA Kit is a governance framework for managing tasks and assignments, based upon an organisation’s methodology and best practice. The BA Kit is aligned to international business analysis standards and complements an organisation’s existing project management methodology.
Redvespa Consultants (Redvespa) believes that great business analysis needs creative thinking – it’s an art form, as well as a crucial component of effective organisations. Redvespa’s passion for the discipline led to initiating a project in late 2007 to reconcile business analysis best practices and divergent project management methodologies within one flexible framework. A prototype system was developed that aligned the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) Body of Knowledge and a client’s System Development Life Cycle (SDLC). The product was launched in 2008, but support of the system in the client’s environment led to interest in developing a hosted model available via a web browser.
A first generation SaaS product was released in September 2009 and saw two clients quickly come on board. The system delivered standardised business analysis tasks, templates, worked examples and techniques displayed in the context of the client’s project management methodology. It also provided oversight of business analysis assignments within the organisation and visibility on resource activities. Since then, Redvespa’s in-house Development Team has worked alongside clients to extend the application platform into the robust organising, tracking and governing product seen today. The enhanced product offering is certainly market leading and keen interest is expected across the business analysis community.
