(PR.co.nz) Leading compliance software company, Mango, has been chosen by Waimakariri District Council to improve its building consent practices. The Council’s Building Unit carries out the district’s building consent, inspection and compliance and is one of the top five building consent authorities in New Zealand (as measured by the number of dwelling consents).
Since implementing Mango, Waimakariri District Council has realised significant improvements in productivity and customer satisfaction.
Mango has enabled Waimakariri District Council to transform its compliance processes and helped it achieve Building Consent Authority (BCA) accreditation. The BCA scheme, which requires councils carrying out building consent, inspection and approval work to be accredited, was a key goal for the Council’s Building Unit.
“We chose Mango because we saw how it would allow us to transform our business processes,” says Warren Taylor, Building Unit Manager at Waimakariri District Council. “We’ve achieved all our goals – and more – with Mango. It’s allowed us to demonstrate continuous improvement, to become more customer-focussed and deliver a better service to our community. Mango has also delivered productivity gains and improved employee satisfaction.”
“Waimakariri District Council has been a great organisation to work with,” says Craig Thornton, Mango’s Chief Support Officer. “Their previous management system was paper-based and very labourious so Mango has proven to be quite a game-changer for them. It’s great to see the impact Mango can have so quickly and the value it delivers.”
