World-Wide First Starts up in Waikato

(PR.co.nz) It’s taken over two years from conception to online launch and there’s still a lot of hard work ahead for Hamilton couple Alan Breen & Julie South but their research is sound and market feedback endorses their new venture into the online business world.

www.halobiz.co.nz Search here first. Let your heart do the talking; Halo™Biz is New Zealand’s and the world’s only online business directory that connects businesses with charities and community organisations. For the first time ever, kiwis will be able to find out which businesses support their child’s school, their local sports club or their favourite charity; all in one place.

The site went live on 1 July with almost 700 Hamilton, Cambridge and Te Awamutu community organisations which need to be matched with local businesses. Invitations have also been sent to approximately 2,500 business owners asking them to identify their favourite community organisation and become a full financial Member of the HaloBiz Network.

“We’re inspired by everyone who tells us we’re the only online business directory with heart” says General Manager, Julie South “Everyone loves that they can now easily find a plumber (for example) that’s making a financial difference to something that’s important to them: whether it’s a sports club they belong to, their local church, their children’s (or grandchildren’s) school or their favourite charity. It’s a real buzz to see someone’s eyes light up when they understand how halobiz.co.nz works”.

Halobiz.co.nz has three levels of advertising allowing Business Members to choose one, two or three community organisations to have displayed on their listing. In turn, Halo Biz Ltd gives at least 70% of that business’s advertising income to each nominated community organisation.

As can be seen in the example detailed at www.facebook.com/halobiznz, the Westpac Rescue Helicopter, Canteen and Ronald McDonald House are the recipients of this lawyer’s listing.

In addition to the website, Halo Biz Ltd also has a growing and enthusiastic following on Facebook (www.facebook.com/halobiznz), Twitter (with over 1200 Followers – www.twitter.com/halobiznz) and its own channel at www.youtube.com/user/halobiznz. The Youtube channel shows Katrina McKinley interview Julie South for tv news recently. You can contact Julie South at julie@halobiz.co.nz or call her on 07-854-7191.
