(PR.co.nz) Relive the ’40s at our tribute concert to the servicemen and women of the First and Second World Wars – taking place on Anzac Day (Monday 25 April).
‘We’ll Meet Again’ kicks off at 7.00pm at the Town Hall, featuring The Beat Girls and the Royal New Zealand Air Force Swing Band performing old favourites such as ‘Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy’ and ‘Mack the Knife’.
Admission is $5 through Ticketek. If booking a ticket online or by phone, the booking fee is $8.50. If you know lots of people going to the concert, it’s recommended you buy in bulk to avoid a large booking fee. You can also buy tickets from the Ticketek office at the Michael Fowler Centre on Wakefield Street – their booking fee is $1.
Mayor Celia Wade-Brown says the concert always proves popular and is a fitting way to round off a day of remembrance.
The concert has been made possible by funding from the Mayor’s Discretionary Fund.
