Domino's Pizza Rototuna make Record Attempt

(PR.co.nz) The Hamilton store is holding week long specials for schools and businesses, followed by a Customer Appreciation Day on Saturday as it tries to break its current record of 2631 pizzas sold in one week.

The week follows a successful week at Domino’s Pizza Hillcrest, where a Customer Appreciation Day was held last Saturday.

The Hillcrest store broke its previous record of 2642 pizzas sold in a week with a new record of 2717 pizzas. But franchisee Anton Pires says he wants to “smash” that record and sell more than 3000 pizzas at his Rototuna store.

The Domino’s Pizza Rototuna Customer Appreciation Day will include Waikato ITM Cup rugby players Tim Mikkelson, Trent Renata, Jackson Willison, Sam Christie and Toby Smith meeting and greeting customers, face painting for the kids and product tasting.

Throughout the day until 5pm, Domino’s Value Range large pizzas will be just $4.90 and Traditional Range large pizzas only $5.90, while three large pizzas will be just $24, pickup or delivered, after 5pm.

Mr Pires says with the Waikato rugby team making last weekend’s ITM Cup premiership final and rugby fever hitting the country, it will be the perfect opportunity for people to meet and greet some of their favourite players.

“We were incredibly happy with how well last week went, but this week we really want to go one better,” he says.

“Our customers mean everything to us and we’re thrilled to be able to thank them for their support in this way. But it’s fun to challenge ourselves to make more pizzas than ever before too.”

The store is also selling $6.50 school pizzas and $7.50 lunch pizzas for businesses until 4pm each day this week until September 9.

The Rototuna Domino’s Pizza Customer Appreciation Day will be held this Saturday, September 10, at its store at the St James Shopping Centre, Rototuna, Hamilton.
