(PR.co.nz) A Mt Eden filmmaker has just gone live on the popular crowdfunding site, Kickstarter, to fund a horror movie with a goal of $10,000. ‘Found footage’ style is big overseas but not in New Zealand; Mikey is looking to change that.
The elevator pitch: “In the middle of nowhere is a house, in the basement is an elevator, two friends take a long ride down… it changes them both forever.” The goal of the film is to utilize the ‘found footage’ style to make the most claustrophobic movie ever made.
Fans of horror movie genre will get more than expected and those who enjoy found footage will get even more with what the writers and director has in store ‘DOWN’. The Kickstarter offers many rewards for those who ‘back’ the project and become part of the movie’s creation.
Mikey is a relatively new filmmaker who has directed five short films and has decided to make the big leap into the feature length film. He plans to make his mark on the industry with this film.
