Koken’s innovative Speeder Ratchet now in NZ

(PR.co.nz) Auckland City, last week, saw the arrival of Koken’s brand new 3/8”Dr Speeder Ratchet from Japan. This innovative idea combines the everyday use of a ratchet with the convenience of a speed handle. By combining 2 tools in one, Koken is able to save users time and money when tightening/loosening nuts and bolts – especially important for race teams when there is no access to the equivalent air/power tools.

Interest for this new ratchet was expressed by engineers and mechanics alike when it was showcased on the company’s website back in May 2011 and prompted Hobeca to introduce it as a new line.

The purpose of NZ Koken Website (launched in April 2011) is to give a history of the brand as well as show case new products available to the NZ market. To date more than 6000 visitors have stopped by, many to read the inspiring story of Koken Founder Mr Soichiro Yamashita – a true rags to riches tale during which time the Koken founder became Henry Ford’s first foreign employee.

Koken wish to express their gratitude for the many Koken fanatics who continue to recognize and use their high quality tools. Since 1957 when New Zealand became Koken’s first export market, the brand has grown from strength to strength and now boasts the largest range of sockets and accessories available in the market.
