(PR.co.nz) A community Market Day has spurred Okarito locals to offer a holiday weekend package for two to come to the West Coast and partake in the festivities. Entrants need only go to www.facebook.com/VisitOkarito and submit their comment on why they would Love to Visit Okarito to be entered in the random draw.
Okarito is know for it’s natural beauty, untouched lagoon with Kotuku – white herons, Donovan’s Store – oldest weatherboard building on the coast, Andris Apse – Landscape photographer, the rarest kiwi – the Rowi, and of course great West Coast hospitality! That’s why they want you to come and enjoy a weekend on them Dec 9th & 10th complete with accommodation, boat tour of the lagoon and more. Market Day is on from 10 AM – 4 PM Dec 9th and will feature many of the local’s arts & crafts, produce and activities for the children, as well as a photo exhibition by Andris Apse and raffle prizes including another holiday weekend at Okarito.
