Music fans in New Zealand are taking notice of rock’s best kept secret Steve Cooke. Known for his signature vocals and his virtuosity on the 12-string guitar, Cooke is the real deal. This is evident after one listen to his new album RADIO, available in all digital outlets and RealGroovy/JBHifi now. With Grammy award winning producer Bob Cutarella at the helm, the album is a collection of ten songs that deliver a true rock and roll spirit for a new generation. The project was recorded at two of Hollywood’s legendary recording facilities — the House of Blues Studios and Paramount Studios.

“The songs on RADIO are about love, life, and loss,” says New Zealand songwriter Dublyn Jones who penned the tracks on the album. “Steve’s voice has brought the songs to life. When we met in Los Angeles a few years back I knew the combination of my songwriting and Steve’s vocals would work well on this project.”

An all star band performed on the album including Madonna guitarist Monte Pittman (who also works with Adam Lambert); Marcus Brown on bass (Madonna/Seal); Steve Sidelnyk on drums (Madonna/Seal); and Phil X also on guitar.

“It’s been a wonderful experience to work with Bob Cutarella, a fantastic band, and composer Dublyn Jones,” said Cooke of recording the tracks for RADIO. The title track and first single off the album is quickly getting airplay across the country in the US and New Zealand. Other standouts on the album include “Gravity,” “Colder,” and “For Cello.” To hear these songs visit www.steve-cooke.com.
