New Zealand Cricket Advisory Committee Named

(PR.co.nz) New Zealand Cricket today announced the composition of the new Cricket Committee, which has been established to provide advice and make recommendations to the NZC Board.

As previously announced the committee will be chaired by NZC Board member, Stephen Boock with Chris Moller, Rob Hart and Sir John Hansen being the other NZC Board members sitting on the committee. They are now joined by non-Board members, Martin Crowe, Shane Bond and Gerard Gillespie.

Crowe and Bond have been selected to in particular provide input into elite cricketing matters and Gillespie for his knowledge of the grassroots of the game.

“The NZC Board believes the formation of the Cricket Committee with the appointment of such highly talented external members is a very significant step and recognises the need to harness the knowledge, experience and skills of the entire cricket family” said Stephen Boock.

“The objective of the Committee is to assist the Board and Management of NZC to promote, develop and foster cricket in New Zealand by gathering information from all areas of cricket, combining it with the views of the Committee and providing this information as advice to the Board.

“We have no doubt that the committee will make a meaningful contribution to the future well-being of our sport,” he said.
