New Zealand’s Top Ranking Hotel Website

(PR.co.nz) The largest operator of Hotels in New Zealand, Accor, is dominant in the local online market. According to latest Experian Hitwise data, http://accorhotels.com is the highest ranking hotel website in New Zealand.

The main Accorhotels.com website, along with all the Accor brand sites, enjoys an astonishing 40% of all hotel website visits in New Zealand. This makes it the top ranked hotel group in New Zealand, well ahead of the other hotel groups including Rydges, Heritage, Millenium Hotels, Intercontinental Hotels Group and Hilton.

30% year on year growth in website visits has been spurred through aggressive online marketing and focused investment in search and display advertising, as well as TV and outdoor advertising.

Vice President Accor New Zealand and Fiji, Garth Simmons, said “We are thrilled with the growth in our online channel, which we attribute to the strength of our digital team as well as the increased investment in key levers. Online bookings are booming and we have experienced month on month revenue growth from mobile bookings which are up 200% year to date, and we foresee this trend to continue.”

Of particular note is that Accor’s mobile applications and websites notched up over 10 million unique visitors worldwide last year. Reflecting the rapid growth of mobile transactions, the business expects the rate of mobile growth to accelerate with the new version of Accor Hotels multi-brand application available for Android, iPhone and Blackberry operating systems. The Accorhotels.com mobile website allows users to book stays at over 3,500 hotels Accor hotels in over 90 countries.
