(PR.co.nz) The revitalised Novotel Christchurch Cathedral Square hotel is encouraging visitors back to New Zealand’s well-loved “Garden City” in style, having recently been awarded a 4 Star Plus rating under the New Zealand tourism quality rating system, Qualmark.
The Qualmark Hotel rating celebrates the exceptional quality and refurbishment of the well-known Christchurch landmark, which was closed in February 2011 following The Great Earthquake. After 30 months of careful planning, redevelopment and renewal, the Novotel re-opened its doors officially on 4th September 2013.
Novotel Christchurch Cathedral Square General Manager, Carl Braddock, says the extensive refit of the hotel, which was only a year old when the earthquake hit, involved only minor structural repair and extensive cosmetic repair – chiefly to the exterior panels, which look as good as the day it opened in 2010.
