Made4Baby chosen to attend 2010 Future Business Counterparts programme to Japan

(PR.co.nz) Rebecca McLeod, founder of Made4Baby, natural skincare range specialising in babies and children, has been selected by the Japan New Zealand Business Council to visit Japan in June on the 2010 Future Business Counterparts programme to Japan.

The trip is part of an invitation only programme for young professionals who will assume greater responsibility in the coming years and are strongly interested in strenghtening economic relations with Japan in the future. The aim of this unique programme is to give young professionals from New Zealand some clues on business between the two countries by increasing their understanding of Japan through lectures on Japanese society, visits to major Japanese industries, and interaction with Japanese people.

Rebecca applied for the programme as Made4Baby are keen, after their success in Hong Kong, to expand to other Asian countries, and this programme is the perfect oppurtunity to explore exporting to Japan and to make contacts with possible Japanese distributors. “I am very excited to the have been selected by the Japan New Zealand Business Council to visit Japan. When I worked at the OCED in Paris, some of the scientists were Japanese, and their culture was facinating, and obviously very different. These differences are very important to consider when thinking of exporting Made4Baby to Japan and this is what makes this oppurtunity timely to learn more about trading with Japan.”

The trip leaves in early June and involves travel to Tokyo and Kyoto for 10 days.
