Mokoia Restaurant Celebrates the End of Hunting Season with a BANG!

(PR.co.nz) Mokoia Restaurant is set to host its second annual Bye Bye Mai Mai Gamebird Degustation Evening on July 7, 2012.

Bye Bye Mai Mai is a part of the New Zealand Gamebird Food Festival 2012 and celebrates the closing of the season with five courses of delectable dishes that use high quality indigenous flavours, with wine matching by Esk Valley available for each course.

The evening promises to provide a great deal of fun and festivity with competitions on the night including: Best Duck Caller, Best Dressed Hunter, Best Gamebird Dog Photo and more.

Created by Executive Chef Ervin Garde, the menu boasts the best of New Zealand ingredients with mouth-watering inclusions such as Pheasant Dumplings, Tempura of Quail and twice cooked Manuka Duck.

Mokoia Restaurant Chief Executive Bryan Hughes says the restaurant loves embracing the challenge providing of incorporating game birds into a unique menu. He goes on to say:
“Bye Bye Mai Mai provides a fantastic opportunity to not only showcase but celebrate the closing of another great season, allowing guests to all enjoy delicious food and wine, with festive entertainment.”
