(PR.co.nz) NZ Bus is providing free bus travel to veterans on ANZAC Day, Sunday, 25 April.
Veterans who show their SuperGold Card, Veteran’s SuperGold Card or RSA membership badge will be entitled to use all North Star, GO WEST, Metrolink, LINK and Waka Pacific bus services for free.
Zane Fulljames, General Manager Operations, NZ Bus, says the offer of free travel is a small token of appreciation on this day of remembrance.
“ANZAC Day is a very special day for New Zealanders,” says Mr Fulljames. “It’s a day where as a nation we should all take the time to remember and thank those who fought and died to protect the way of life that we all enjoy today.”
“At NZ Bus we know that ANZAC Day is important to our communities and we wanted to make a small gesture of gratitude to those who have gone before us,” continues Mr. Fulljames.
“We are delighted to have the opportunity to offer free bus travel to Veterans who show their SuperGold Card, Veteran’s SuperGold Card or RSA membership badge.”
The special offer of free travel is available on all North Star, GO WEST, Metrolink, LINK and Waka Pacific services throughout ANZAC Day, Sunday, 25 April 2010.
In addition to this, the LINK will start at the earlier time of 5am on ANZAC Day and run every 15 minutes in both directions to help people get to the Dawn Service at the Auckland War Memorial and Museum.
