(PR.co.nz) Workshops on social media strategy for not-for-profit organisations were successfully conducted in Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington, and Christchurch, on 16-19 July 3013, by Shannon Digital NZ.
Covered in the sessions were social media as a catalyst to an online marketing strategy, how to develop a social media strategy, and how to select the right social media tools. Participants were given written exercises and given the opportunity to ask questions.
At the end of each workshop, participants were able to develop a customised social media strategy outline for their respective organisations.
The recently held Social Media Strategy Workshops in New Zealand were conducted by Shannon Digital’s social media director Christine Gooding for Connecting Up, a not-for-profit that works to unleash the power of other not-for-profits by providing a variety of information, products, resources and programs.
Shannon Digital provided the same workshop for Connecting Up in 2012 that were held in Auckland and Wellington. Due to popular demand from not-for-profits, the workshop ran again this year, adding Hamilton and Christchurch in the mix.
“I received great feedback from the attendees. It’s great to know they were able to pick up valuable tips from the 3-hour workshop.” says Christine.
The Rodney District Council also benefitted from Shannon Digital’s social media training services in the past by providing Social Media 101 workshops to each of the Council’s departments.
