Telecom NZ Assisting with Australia Flood Relief
Telecom New Zealand has announced its Chorus business will be sending a team of Chorus and service company technicians to Brisbane to assist in the restoration of telecommunications services to the devastated Queensland and NSW regions. A universal text-to-donate service has also been facilitated by Telecom to support the New Zealand Red Cross in its national appeal, Australian Floods Fund, for those affected by the disaster, $3 can be donated by texting “flood” to 336 from Telecom, Vodafone or 2degrees networks.

Air New Zealand’s “Kids at Christmas charity auction” kicks off this week, aiming to raise more than $400,000 for children’s charities. The auction is offering some special “money can’t buy” items, in addition to hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of airfares, accommodation and travel packages.
